Very cool find and shot, Dan. At certain speeds and conditions the back end would lift a bit! Fond memories. The classic D70/kit lens looks terrific even now. V

Such a classic car, well captured. Hard to believe fins like that were common once upon a time. V.

Cool!!!!!! My dad had a black '61. Brings back memories.. Wonderful placement too! Vv

My parents had a red '61. They kept it until I was about 12 and I learned to drive in that Chevy.
Apart from the Colorado elevation this could have been at our farm.
A wonderful photograph and a great feeling for me

looks ready to take off into orbit...the outrageous fins and tail-lights get a formidable boost from those angled tail-pipes...if someone emerged with an ignition key, would stand well back..

Amazing! It was always my dream car as a kid! Then when I went to the USA 1st time in 1991, I had to try one! Not at all similar to these, it was horrible, and in the end, I opened the door and it said: "Made in Korea by Hyundai"... There it went, my American Dream.... LOL
