After posting a few of the images from my quick stop last October in Bethlehem to see Bethlehem Steel, I realized it probably should have its own gallery. Here you can see a view, shot from the elevated walkway showing both the steel mill and the development around it. Notice the brand new walkways, lawns, buildings across the street and sculptures. Also notice on the left the walkway that goes the length of the whole mill. About midway up on the far right side, you can see someone in a blue shirt and orange tour hat. Note that vegetation has been planted along the walkway and there are benches and signs explaining the history of the mill. There are lots of other buildings that I did not have time to explore. I do plan to go back. To give you some idea of the size, I was standing about half way down the length of the plant and walkway when I shot this photo. It is definitely my kind of place and I am glad someone decided to make this into an attraction instead of just letting it rot, or worse - tearing it down altogether.
