We started early, jumped in the car, and hit the road. It wasn't a day I was entirely looking
forward too. And IKEA lived up to it's tough new reputation as we were witness to a heated
argument before we had even reached the cheap plastic lighting aisle. Joy. But, eventually, it
was mission accomplished as we managed to settle on a sofa for the new house.
With that done, we dropped my sister-in-law and her boyfriend off, in Fife, and headed on out the
coastal road onto St Andrews. You can see some of the other shot's I took here.
It was a good day all in all, and when you add a nice meal into the equation up in St Andrews, it
more than made up for the horror of having to brave my idea of suburban hell.
The picture, well it wasn't really what I had in mind. I was thinking of going for a light bright
coastal shot. But when I got home I realised that the light wasn't up to it, and instead thought
I'd try something in B&W. In the end all I needed to do was to manipulate the contrast and levels,
and I ended up with this. The sky incidentally is still from the original shot.
And I'm back up to date!
Here's the original.
