We took our friend's daughter on a small rush tour of some of the local areas near home. Our drive
took us through the Continental Divide at 11,990 feet then on a loop to the back of Dillon along
the dam at Lake Dillon then back home. The autumn colours are in full swing, but on this occasion
there was also a light snow covering on the peaks from the first snow of the season. The foreground
area is a small island in the lake. Within a few months the whole area will be snow bound with the
lake frozen solid for months!
