Are My Ears Too Big?

I drove to work via Daniels Park as I often do. I noticed four mule deer as I drove by so turned
around to get a few shots. They watched me carefully and gave me a few minutes before moving on.

Excellent shot! The ears tell an interesting story of curiosity. It is definitely as sharp as it needs to be, and the rest of the image qualities are excellent as well.

Great Capture Dave, You are very fortunate to be able to
have the opportunity to see interesting shots where you live.
Beautiful Country there.

Wonderful portrait of this deer, Dave. Looks like all of his attention is on you!
I got the dreaded red "X". I was able to see the image by placing ".jpg" at the end of the URL.

Well I think it is a good capture,Dave, and a delightful study of a beautiful animal!
Dirk wants to get a life or show us some of his obviously stunning images!!
Guest 08-Sep-2007 08:34

Thank you Dirk/MOG/Whoever. Wouldn't it be great if we could all afford a 1D and the $30,000 of accompanying lenses (and time) to make every shot perfect. It's a PAD shot - it was never supposed to be a perfect shot. If you're going to sign your name differently then use different language to your other posts. As usual your comments are supremely wise! Oh, to be so great to look down your nose with such smug confidence.

Tack sharp? Really? 'Cause I'm seeing a pretty soft image, myself. The ears, eyes and nose are very soft, perhaps due to being at the long end of the zoom at 1/125, maybe it's the glass itself - if you're using the 70-300, there's the problem. Whatever, cute wildlife is a crowd pleaser. VOTE!!! Dirk

They are like radar dishes. I suppose they are, in a way.
Fabulous capture!
