We spent the day drifting through the foothills and stumbled across a beautiful lake near the
South Platte River. Although the pasaque flowers at home are past their best the season is just
starting at higher elevations (about 9,000 feet) and we managed to find a hillside teaming with
them. They normally have full yellow centers but curiously a few had red centers, like this one.
