Cold Horses

We had about 4 inches of snow but after a few warmish days it hit the road, melted then froze as sheet ice overnight.
I narrowly missed having an accident just by sliding 100 feet on ice at less than 20mph, but lots of others weren't as lucky.
I took this a few minutes after helping tow a mother and baby out of a ditch they'd just spun into, no one hurt!!!

This is a stunning picture Dave, lovely composition, scenery and all. Well done for staying on the road despite slithering 100 feet, keeping the camera steady too, my hands would have been shaking for an hour at least! and helping the mother out of the ditch, English chivalry at its best!

Beautiful, crisp shot. Glad you didn't slide into disaster. Awesome that you helped mom and baby out of the ditch. Hope you had more than just your boots and your shovel for the rescue! :-)
