http://www.hawkquest.com/ was running a fundraiser which let us get close to this magnificent Bald Eagle. I have seen them in the wild locally, but never with the hope of getting a shot.

WOW WOW WOW! Upclose and personal, with beautiful detail. Brilliant selective coloring to add focus and tension to the piercing eye. I'm intrigued by its look, full of power and dignity, perhaps it's hunting for its next prey. Huge vote.
