We left at 6am for a 12 hour/550 mile drive from Denver, Colorado to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The drive could have been quicker but there was too much to stop and see on the way. Once we left Colorado it was rarely above freezing. High winds needed steering to keep a straight line and several cars were blown off the road - a combination of the high winds and icy roads. Several blizzards and white outs made for interesting driving!! Arriving in Grand Teton for an hour or two before sun down proved the drive was worth it.
