My friend Michele Moomaugh was killed today in a car crash. She
was one of the sweetest, wisest, strongest, most tender, and caring people
I've ever known. She was Robin Reid's business partner for many
years. I saw her last at his birthday party just a week ago. We
talked of getting together to catch up on one another. It had been too long.

This is one of the few images I have of Michelle, taken at the party.
I apologize for my lack of skills "extracting" hair from a busy background.

What I love about this picture is this is how I saw Michele so often --
fascinated by something, offering a wise comment or observation, thoroughly
engaged and in love with life.
