Hey Gary...

It looks to me like you wont be needing that camera anymore... do you think you could get someone to pack it up and ship it off to me? Sorry to hear that you got sucked up by the undertow there but you managed a very wonderful final photo.

Jeez, sure glad you told us how to do this, heh. Was getting ready to offer a long stick to try to drag you out, but looks like your pretty comfy here. Esp. after all that prep time. GOOD, clever! job here.

I like the peace and love sign on the right shadow! Cool idea. You have way to much time in your hands.
Gary Winters08-Oct-2004 17:36
To those who asked how I did this. It required holding my breath for a VERY long time. I had to set the camera to snap every ten minutes or so, get into the quicksand, hold my breath, sink all the way under except my hands, hold my position, mentally count off the minutes until the shutter fired, and then climb back out. No sand crabs were hurt in the production of this photograph.
Herb 08-Oct-2004 15:06
I hope no sand got into your eyes. Cool idea.
