Joy!

Ok, let me quote from my entry on the 26th:
"My whole mission over the next few days is to take a picture.
Pull out my real camera and capture joy."

Well, I did it!

Now, on to the explanation.
I went up to LL Bean today.
I really wanted a certain hat they sell.
Unfortunately, they were out of stock.
I still did some shopping,
but did not get what I went for.

In the end I decided to go out for a "burger and beer".
I chatted with one of the workers at Bean's,
and he suggested I try Gritty's.
Well off I went to the little microbrew house.

I sat at the bar, and of course started chatting ;-)
Well it is kind of funny, but I found out her name was Joy.
She was very friendly and in a good mood (which is nice).

(time munches on, burger goes in tummy, chat chat chat)

Anyhoo, I finished up lunch and started driving home.
All of a sudden while I was on the highway it struck me.
I instantly whipped out my phone and looked up that entry.
Yup, it said I wanted to take a picture of Joy.
Well oh my goodness, I had just met Joy!
I laughed and said it would be stupid to go back.
Well I knew she was getting off in a half hour,
so obviously I turned around and went back quick.

So I can now say that I have seen Joy.
I even brought back a picture to fulfill that mission.
I guess I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.

Did I have a fun day?
You betcha.

This is the fun side of divorce.
If we were still together:
1. I never would have gone to Bean's
2. I would have never eaten at Gritty's
3. I would have never met Joy.
4. Today would not have been as much fun as it was.

So I said I wanted a picture of Joy, and poof.
Seeing what I write comes true in a few days,
I would like to have a little Faith ;-)
(oh, that was really bad)

By the way, I HIGHLY recommend Gritty's.
If you are ever in Freeport Maine.
Yummie burgers and the Brown Ale is great!

And if Joy is working, tell her Dave says Hi!
