Totally caught me

I could not believe my luck.
I just happened upon this spot.
I walked to the waters edge.
I extended my lens to get the shot.
They had not moved yet.
I was just in the nick of time.
I looked through the viewfinder.
Something was wrong with this duck.
OMG, it was a freaking decoy.
Someone was training a dog nearby.
Thank goodness they were not hunting photographers.
I would have been their first trophy.
