The ride home

It was a long ride home tonight.
I was a bit tired and cold.
Only cold because the window was open.
I wanted to stay as alert as I could.
But it was a long journey to my house.
I made it home just fine.
Listened to some Taylor Swift along the way.
And I even made a quick stop for a picture.
I thought of this picture when I left.
It actually passed the ride thinking about it.
How often do you get a dark rainy night like this.
It added a couple of minutes to the trip.
To me it was worth the little side trip.
