These are classic settings to use in the Photoshop Channel Mixer for B&W conversions. They are intended to emulate the effects of colored filters on black and white film (pre-digital era).

It should be noted that color filters should NOT be used on digital cameras as they will starve the the remaining color photosites on the Bayer type sensors which will result in horrible noise from over-amplification of the missing signal. (Typical Bayer type sensors have 2 green photosites, 1 red and 1 blue in a 2 x 2 matrix).
