Flamingoes

Celestun, Yucatan, Mexico

The water was the color of dark hybiscus tea and the flamingoes were happily stirring up the mud in the patch of sunlight. It was pure chance and perhaps some instinct to capture just one with its head up. Luck plays out to one's advantage every so often.

Nice image! That thin strip of green is a nice contrast to the red subject. Nice to catch just one with it's head up with the others feeding. Lookout perhaps?

Great capture, Zane. Why was it not hungry like others?:)
