This image was shot with the 105mm Defocus Control lens, set to f/3.2; as you can see,without any defocus control applied,this lens yields an absolutely lovely image. The rendition of the in-focus areas is lovely, and the defocusing of the background is smooth and pleasant. The lighting is actually fairly bright, and I have set the D2x's ISO to 160, a fairly low setting by my standards. At this low ISO, the D2x's color and image quality looks very nice on the original file; even as a web reduction, you can see there's more than enough detail in the original for a very nice,detailed print.
