My dad was born in February of 1930,so I am guessing that this photo was taken around 1934, apparently in the springtime. There's a bamboo fly rod poking out of the car window,so I am assuming this was on a fishing trip--perhaps the second weekend in April, which is the opening of "general trout season". My father is eating a box lunch,the pre-cursor to the McDonald's Happy Meal. I made this image from a playing-card sized B&W negative shot on a folding Kodak rollfilm camera.
