It's hard to describe how this national park impressed me. I was simply fascinated by its uniqueness and colours. I was lucky to have avoided the predicted thunderstorm, yet I was somewhat disappointed - the Old Faithful was not faithful to my tour, for all we saw was steam, not water, at the precisely calculated time of eruption.

When my tour arrived at Yellowstone, it was already after 4 p.m. We spent 3 hours there (photos 1-12 were taken on the first day) before checking in a hotel inside the park. The next day we started early in the morning to spend another 5 hours there exploring a couple of basins of geysers (photos 13-68 were taken on the second day), which were the main attractions for most tourists.

I know I can go back there for the scenery. Though I would visit the same famous viewpoints inside Yellowstone, next time I would enter from another state, hence a different route, with some other towns and mountains along the way.
