My trip to San Diego was more than just exciting. What I saw was beyond my expectation by far, many thanks to my friend George who lives there and who drove me around. When his car was entering Balboa Park (Photo #1-23), I was already totally fascinated by its magnificent architecture. I felt like I was in Spain.

It happened to be Memorial Day weekend (last weekend of May), and there was a carnival at the park, with busy traffic and tourists as well as local residents everywhere. Nevertheless, within a few hours I got to see the primary attraction of the city, the historical old town, a colourful beach view and a tranquil residential area. I must admit my half day spent photo shooting in this unique city in Southern California was very productive.
