8-21-04 Terminus 1.jpg

The best views of the moon are the crescents. My high power eyepieces viginette too much as does the camera zoom. So, all I have to post are a couple low power views again. We camped out and I got 3 photos before the dew got me. These were with the MN56 again. The OA-130 is too long to take with all the camping gear. It will give a more magnified view when I get a chance to do it. Still this is what a person sees at around 95X with a decent scope. The terminus gives more shadow and detail than is seen under the flat light of a full moon. The photo of the other side of the cresent is here: http://www.pbase.com/image/32878155 I am not sure which I like better. I prefer both of them better at original size.

Low powered or not - very inspiring. Beautifull scarface.

Amazing. I'm envious of this kind of detail of the moon. And I thought i got a good shot with my mirror tele lens. Guess I got to get a telescope. Will a cheap one do?

Wow, DeMorcan, this is a wonderful shot. Amazing detail and focus.

Thank you. The 5" f/6.0 Mak Newt is what makes for good photos. That and the Dimage A1 which has no CA of high contrast subjects like the moon.

Wow DeMorcan. Thank you for pulling the moon in close so we can get a better look at her. Magnificent.
