Tracks.jpg

I took 40 or 50 photos this evening. I decided to use these 2. I blurred them so they would combine easier. I liked the difference between how empty tracks look compared to an approaching train.

Actually if you look at the lines of the track, the left photos I was standing in the center of the track. But the right side the lines of the track extend out to one side. I was near the track, but not on it as the train came by. Still had a conservation officer asking me if everything was OK. :)

Great composite. I like the way you put these together. Hope it was a slow moving freight train. I guess it was since you're posting this. :)

Yes, I did get the horn. And, he also dimmed his headlights. I suppose so I would not be blinded and could find my way off the track. :)

Oh my god, that's an approaching train? I thought it was some sort of apparition, especially given the diverging tracks here. Nice done -- I like this.

I love how the foliage creates a sort of perspective tunnel with the tracks, and the incoming train brings a sense of danger. Very nice.

Good one!
Karen Leaf15-May-2004 02:12
Great combination! Really looks like a junction! Heh, today I almost went to the tracks and thought about lying down between them to get a perspective shot, but it creeped me out just thinking about it! Brave guy!

I rather like the drama of the oncoming train.
