Hey, this is how I kicked off my PAD -- I had a new year's day fire. Nice fire. Nice shot.

DON'T BURN THE HOUSE DOWN!! YOU SHOULD START TELLIN' SOME BRUSHFIRE FAIRYTALES (JACK JOHNSON) :-)

Last year a guy I work was doing some burning and torched a 1/2 acre meadow by mistake. Looks like you're more careful. :) Nice shot...and nice of you to keep the hooligans entertained.

After I bought this house, I bought the empty lot next to me. There is little for teens to do here this time of year. So the neighborhoon hooligans come to my lot and we tell stories, lot at the telescopes, or just set and be with other hooligans. The fire was recreational for pleausre - with hoses near by.

In the spring my dad would burn the dead grass off the "ball field," which was a spot that my five brothers and I and all the neighbor kids would play baseball on all summer; here in Florida, the first fire of spring has a very different meaning. Southern Florida has two seasons: wet and dry. Winter is DRY. A fire in spring is natural...but not to the people who have moved here and built in the way of fires.

So why are you burning a fire DeMorcan? Camping?

I think it's a good thing, as long as it's controlled. Makes for a nice PAD.

An inviting image - a crackling fire in the woods. Nice pic!

Nothing like sitting by a nice fire to relax and of course, eat smores!
