27th July - Hinge

I studied for 6 years under the great Chinese hinge masters to try and understand the meaning of hinge.
I finally feel I know the essence of hingeness and this great enlightenment I portray in this picture.
If you look close enough you can just about see within the image the fact that I got in late and couldn’t be arsed to do anything else.

'...couldn't be arsed' Too funny. I think this is a fantastic image. I love the weathered detail of wood and rust on old hinges; really can't say why. B&W really works well, but I imagine a color version would be just as great.
