I think this may be what you call making lemonade ... The original of this posey was a little fuzzy, and didn't sharpen all that well. So, I decided that it looked like a good candidate for some "stylin'". Basically, I removed the background and replaced it with (duh) white. Then I use Posterize Edges to get sharp lines on the edges and the inner striations. I then popped the contrast and saturation a bit, and that was pretty much it.
