This is a small (~6" wingspan) carved bird that's part of a mobile belonging to a friend. I thought it would make an interesting photo. Makes me want to take up wood carving -- although, I'm accident-prone.

PS - Isolated bird from background, which was removed. Various tools to remove thread gy which the bird was suspended. Dark blue background layer with a black to transparent gradient adjustment layer.
