Caught these three at about the nine mile point in a half-marathon (13.1 mile) on a typical August morning in Maryland -- hot and humid. These three illustrate determination under difficult conditions -- but without looking like they were at death's door. OK, maybe you need to be a runner to really appreciate this. :)
