one of my favs as well .This is a stunning shot of this bird.The bits of light filtering through the canopy add depth .The leaves to the top right of the owl add perspective.The action ( he is very aware of your presence)and clarity make this an excellent image in my humble opinion .The light revealing the transparency of fine feathers( just above branch bottom right )is probably an accident but really tells a story about the bird
