This shot shows how the high ISO grain structure of the Sony Alpha 350 can be used to creative effect. Unlike most DSLRs, the strong noise shows no hot pixels. If you treat a Canon image in the same way, the grain is softer (it is difficult to get this effect) and speckled at random with hot pixels of different colours - it never looks like film. 100mm f2.8 Minolta SF lens at maximum 3 setting, and the Alpha 350 on 3200, processed from raw with ACR zero luminance NR, 50 chroma NR, 25 sharpening to produce a crisp grain effect.
