speednoise sRGB.jpg

Marrakesh, Morocco

This image is a conversion to sRGB from the in-camera AdobeRGB noise tests. You will notice a difference in overall colour saturation, black level and contrast. You may also find differences in noise levels. Many test report creators ignore the critical differences in black clipping and shadow area gamma between these two colour spaces. The difference would be even more visible using in-camera sRGB versus in-camera AdobeRGB. Your opinions about image noise may be influenced by which colour space you normally use, how your computer is set up for system or application level colour management, whether your screen is calibrated and which web browser software you use.
