The houses themselves vary wildly from run down or abandoned shacks, to old period cottages to
brand new bungalows to heaven knows what. Most dwellings seem to belong to lower middle class
families and are pleasant enough. Since leaving Leura, there has been little evidence of actual
wealth or prosperity.
