We pass the local Fire Brigade Station. The Blue Mountains possesses an altogether disproportionate
number of fire brigades and stations. In times of summer bushfire emergency, they are sorely needed.
Like most places in regional Australia, it is common to see signs warning residents and travellers
of the current potential for bushfires. It has been raining on and off for a week or so at this stage.
Thankfully, the present danger is low.
