Nighthawks, Roy's Cafe

Our group lined up at the counter for dinner at the diner. Location: Roy's Cafe and Motel, in Amboy, on Route 66, in the vast Mojave desert. It's the only motel and cafe for perhaps 40 miles.

A little bit of Hopper's atmosphere here, a melancholy and evocative shot, I like cafés!

i love the perspective of thsi picture. There is a "frame" like this in the lunch room at where i work, i tried to make this kind of composition when trying to shoot the vending machine behind the frame but the vending machine was too far away, too small to fill out even half the frame. I love how the people lining up neatly in your frames.
