The Chimayò Badlands

Outside the Community of Chimayò, New Mexico, USA

After exploring the High Road, traveling from Taos through the Sangre de Christo Mountains, our photography group stopped at a viewpoint overlooking the deeply eroded landscape of the Chimayò Badlands. At first I thought I would not make a photograph of the badlands - it was too grand, I thought, to picture in one photograph. So I made two, stitching them together with the help of Photoshop.
