Maverick Dos, the ferry that ran aground in darkness on the evening of 15th February 2012, has been
repaired and returned to Formentera on 6th June 2013. She has been in service between Ibiza and Formentera since then.

There are some reports that she was operating from Palma, Mallorca earlier in 2013.

Car Ferry Posidonia makes four crossings in each direction, with fares reduced considerably from those on Nixe, their fast car ferry.
Return passenger fares are around 70% of fast ferry prices.

Chartered from Interisles, she returned to Mallorca at the end of September 2012.

Currently registered in Limassol, Cyprus, Balear Jet was built by AA Marine Brodrene - Hyen, Norway in 1989 and was originally named San Pietro, operating between Germany and Denmark, Finland and Estonia, England (Newhaven) and France.
In 1997 she was re-named Maria Dolores and operated in the Balearics for Interilles Express.
In 2002 she was re-named Sea Jet 1, operating in Malta the Adriatic Sea.
After being laid-up in Greece for a period, in 2007 she was bought by Interilles Express and later re-named Balear Jet , operating between Mallorca and Menorca.

Following some split between Balearia and Trasmapi, this Fjellstrand 38.8m fastjet now carries Balearia markings, together with a new Coronita Cerveza advertisment.

In May 2012 she was reported to be in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria - so may have been sold or leased-out by Trasmapi.

My least favourite Formentera ferry.
It makes the crossing quickly, but takes an age to dock and let us passengers off - and they charge more for the privilege!

Arlequin Rojo - now mainly used to transport lorries between Ibiza and Formentera - can be seen behind.

This little boat always amuses me - perhaps my favourite ferry.
Looking like a river boat, she has powerful engines and makes the crossing in around 30 minutes, keeping up with modern express ferries.
Crossing back to Formentera on her later the same day in torrential rain, I was very grateful for the new windows!

Started working between Ibiza-Formentera in early 2007.

Previously named 'Draupner', she worked between Bergen and Stavanger since 1999.

A New CityCat 40, built in Italy for Formentera-based Mediterranea Pitiusa.
She entered service early in 2007

After a couple of years doing nothing in the marina at Ibiza town, this ferry has been refurbished, with a new interior, and new exterior look. She was in daily Ibiza-Formentera service while I was there.

I next saw her one year later - by which time she had undergone a major superstructure change.

Rapido de Formentera was sold to Argentina in 2007

Renamed Ocean LaLa, she was sold by Baleria in 2008 to a Taiwanese company to operate between Taiwan and China.

In August 2010 she encountered high seas off Changhwa and her bow was severely damaged. She is now considered unsuitable for the South China Seas.
