Thanks to you and Margarett for the copies of these
marriage records from the Union Co. courthouse files.
What I had previously was merely the extract of the
files, not actual copies.

I should point out that the Union Co. marriage index
actually has 2 entries for Ethel Dred's marriage to
Nancy Porter:

Etheldrid BAIT, 41, to Nancy Porter, 29, both of
Louisiana, January 9, 1842 by Joel Tatum,, JCC, (D.B.
A-176).

Etheldrid BOYT, 41, to Nancy Porter, 29, both citizens,
on January 8, 1942 by Joel Tatum, JCC (not recorded).
