Carnegie Museum of Natural History

We’re currently installing a wonderful temporary exhibit of the art work by Allen Houser. I snapped this of one of the larger pieces as I worked today. With nothing on the walls yet or a lot of lights burning everywhere, I took this today as I know by tomorrow the background may get cluttered.

I love the range of tones in this image. Definitely would not have worked so well with a distracting background.

Nice lighting and strong composition. I like the blackness of the blade in the foreground and the brighter bronze(?) in the head piece.

Really powerful image... your eye has become so superbly trained that I don't think you can take a bad shot.

Awesome shot Ron. The clean backgrounds looks great with the lighting.

At first glance I thought it to be Japenese armor...this is a fantastic image Ron and I am curious to see more of the exhibits.

Great control of DOF in this shot. Nice detail! I like the use of natural "tritone" colors. -- angela :)
