Hi Jim, this is no Photoshop creation.
It was a basic editing challenge, so there wasn't much I could do to the original except a bit of sharpness, levels, contrast, etc.
The top 5 in every challenge always have to send in their originals, so that they can be checked for any manipulation by the site council. Anyone breaking the rules is automatically dq'd.
I printed a blue/orange chequered pattern onto a transparent sheet and sat a clear glass marble on it. That's it.
In the image I've shown here, I've cloned out the isolated inclusions in the glass marble to make it look a bit smoother.
