Anna's Gorget

An Anna's hummingbird flashes his iridescent ruby gorget (collar).
This poor hummer was constantly on the defense as smaller Allen's hummingbirds were trying to compete for his territory.
Fortunately, his resbits were frequent and allowed this photographer to do his work.
