Le Palais de la Berbie.

Albi.

The Berbie Palace (« Berbie » means “bishop” in Occitan) was erected from 1228 to serve as an episcopal residence. It was transformed into a fortress to resist the partisans of the Cathar heresy, very numerous in the Albigensian. Today it houses the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum.
