Cordes-sur-Ciel connût un Age d’Or entre le milieu du XIVéme siècle et le XVIème siècle. A la fin du XIIIème des familles marchandes commencent la construction de maisons gothiques, confortables. Ces bâtisses réunissent atelier, entrepôt et magasin au rez-de-chaussée, habitation au premier étage et greniers au second étage.


Cordes-sur-Ciel knew an «Age d'Or» (Golden Age) from the middle of the 14th century to the 16th century. At the end of the 13th the merchant families begin the construction of comfortable Gothic houses. These buildings bring together workshop, warehouse and store on the ground floor, first floor dwelling and attics on the second floor.
