"Golden Lion Tamarin" Endangered - Only about 1,000 remain in the wild, most of them in the Poco das Antes Biological Reserve in Rio de Janeiro.
Even that habitat is shrinking due to deforestation. Weighing only 16- 24 oz, they live in groups of approx. 14, and take turns on sentry duty, watching for predators. -
