I believe my lifelong friend John Semanski got himself a sniper in that plantation. Was later I awarded the Silverstar for combat action. If you know of him and have pictures of him I would love to see that. ctspooky67@outlook.com
I came back to this one for a reason: In 1969, I was in the Iron Triangle when an air strike took place in the rubber plantation and several APC's (like this one) went in behind the airstrike. I was with another Major and we obviously were somewhere we shouldn't have been. We were enroute to Xuan Loc and had 10 rounds of ammunition and two .45 cal pistols with us. Needless to say, the jeep and its passengers moved out in a hurry. Hell, that could've been YOU in the APC that barrelled across the road in front of us.
