I think the VC were serious. Their English was just a little off, but far better than my Vietnamese.

... funny shot ... wonder if it was done with humor by the VC carver? I received a letter from my draft board one day while in Vietnam telling me that I had been reclassified to "Too old for military service" ... that didn't work either. Had to complete the tour ...
