Don & Boots

My friend Don Scott and the Alpha Co. medic track's mascot, Boots.

Photo courtesy of Don Scott (the one on the left).

I made an attempt to clean the image up, but as with those of us who were there, there has been visible damage over time.

I remember both Don and boots. If I remember correctly he was named after Nancy Sinatra's song these boots are made for walking. I believe I have a photograph very similar to this one someplace. Walter Faubion 67 to 69. Dauningegold@gmail.com

The picture is great---- however, it reminds me that higher HQ ordered all our loyal K9 dogs killed when we pulled out---- whoever made that decision should be dug up and hung---if he is still alive, we'll skip the digging up part

Don did a nice job of scanning the slide. I shot mostly black and white and color prints when I was there. The color prints were on something called Kodak Safety Film. The negatives have undergone many strange color shifts through the years.

Nice one, Dave. Yep, we all have fungus and mold by now ... LOL.
(My Kodachromes are a bit faded, too.) Nice image. These were the good memories.

Nice shot, Dan ... I'm certain Boots was a great companion for all of you. I also liked your comment about all of us showing some visible damage over time ... I'm reluctant to look in the mirror any more.
