Bill was an excellent soldier and all-around good guy. He spent a great deal of time in the field coordinating supply and ammunition needs. His hooch in Lai Khe basecamp was near the Battalion Aid Station and he sometimes spent time with us medics.

I was recently able to meet with Bill and catch up. I am very glad for the opportunity. Like myself, Bill got out of the Army and went back in later. He had a very challenging career in a variety of roles, including Armor, Drill Sergeant and was a First Sergeant later in his career. I know his family is very proud of his career and I'm proud to have been able to serve with him when we were kids.
