Forward hull cradle being built up. 9 layers of 1 3/4 oz mat was used. Note the carpet layer under the wax paper sheeting. Though polyethylene sheet releases well from resin, it tended to pucker from the heat build up during the cure process, leaving ugly waves in the cradle surface. Wax paper did not have this problem. Only two such cradles are required for the trailer, both 24 inches in front of either beam to the cradle center lines. Top edge of the outboard sides are ~6 inches below the deck line, while the inboard top edges are ~6 inches above the keel line. Cradles are about 11 inches in width.
