Excellent bouquet shot Doug. the subdued colors and contrast work as is. It generates a sensation is of being pulled in to experience it more intimately. I especially like the framing and black negative space that lets is "breath" as Rod would say. -tv

Thanks all for the comments. Indeed I was going for a less than vibrant look. The arrangement is setting on the island in our kitchen under the flourescents with a darker family room for a background. In camera I changed to 3800k for the WB and went +1 contrast, +1 saturation, and +3 sharpness then underexposed by about a stop. -COAmature

Doug, I thought with the black background you were going for the subdued look. If this is the case, then you got it. No reason to have the colors pop ... most things in life don't. John

Doug, this is beautiful! I like the comp too!
As Rod suggested, you might get a better photo if you play around with in camera contrast.

Nice composition Doug but have you got the contrast turned up in camera? It would make this pop a bit more..................................We need pop:-)

Thanks Penny. I'm having a tough time finding thing to photograph since I've felt limited to indoors for the last few weeks. -Doug
