The lighting is perfect and actually makes this pretty! Try shooting at high noon.

That's a very good point you make db! We make what otherwise are ugly houses look quaint, or picturesque by taking good photos of them. I think that's part of what makes this challenge so tough.
Thanks a lot, Brent, for commenting again! See: this is all a matter of taste. While I find the sitting lady on top of this building pretentious, others might like her. (It anyway can hardly be seen from street level...). The challenge topic, by the way, is «Ugly Houses» (as opposed to «Ugly Images»). — db.

Hmmm, I think this is a rather pretty image Daniel. That statue would look gaudy on my house- but it doesn't look so bad here. Great light!
