There's no line Oved, just photographic taste which is different for many people. But there's a consensus view of what looks right to be accepted as a photo & what is a piece of graphic art. Both legit art forms but different pursuits. You just have to make up your mind which pursuit you're in.
The left eye I can accept as a high key photo but the right eye I can’t, it looks very weird with the white placed around the eye. A graphic artist wouldn’t like the right eye either:-)

Now that stray hair has gone I think the image is definately better.

This is a great job with lovely eyes

Yea, I had a hunch this would be your reaction, mate :-) Where would you draw the line on postprocessing, though? Cropping? cloning? dodging? burning? I guess what counts is the final result - if the image "speaks" to you - that's good; if not - no good :-)
Thanks for commenting. /Oved

I think eyes look far better & more interesting when their attached to a face & the post processing isn't taking centre stage:-)

Thank you jano! I'm going to try lightening and cloning. Not sure about the cropping, though - I think the space makes one imagen the rest of the face. I'll sleep on it. \Oved

I too love eyes!! and you have done well here. I like the pp you did here (wish I knew somewhat how this is accomplished). A couple of things I think I would do.... I would crop the bottom off right below where the outline of the nose ends. I see no reason for all that extra bottom space there as there is no outline. Second, on the right (or the left eye) there is some darkening there that I would eliminate as well. You might be able to just crop that off where the side of the face ends, or lighten it up a tad leaving a slight outline as the remainder of the pic suggests. The loose hair could easily be cloned out, but it doesn't bother me too much. These are just suggestions - but overall great pic. jano

Thank you David! My 2yo grandchild does not maintain her "hair-do" for too long (pulls off those rubber based hair bands that collects hair :-) Anyway, I'm a sucker for those eyes, try to photograph them as much as I can. /Oved

Beautiful, Oved. The hair across the person's left eye detracts a little but that said, there's going to have to be an outstanding later entry to beat this getting my vote.

David.
